2017 Great American Eclipse: Totality
Finally was able to download my eclipse photos from my computer to my phone! This was taken in 2017 on August 21st during the Great American Eclipse. We drove from central Wisconsin all the way down to the tip of the Illinois to the line of totality just so we could see this, and it was absolutely worth it. I took this by clipping my eclipse glasses over the the camera lens of my phone, then clipping a macro lens over that. That blue around it you see isn’t actually camera error, that’s the sun’s corona! We got to see bailey’s beads, the diamond ring, and the rare unexplained shadow snakes! Definitely an amazing trip, here’s to hoping South Dakota holds a candle to it.
