Fourteen-spot Ladybird (Propylea quatuordecimpunctata) with Aphids I waited patiently for this beetle to devour some of these aphids, but no such luck. It just sat there. I was tempted to give it a little nudge, but decided to let nature takes its course instead.<br />

Fourteen-spot Ladybird (Propylea quatuordecimpunctata) with Aphids

I waited patiently for this beetle to devour some of these aphids, but no such luck. It just sat there. I was tempted to give it a little nudge, but decided to let nature takes its course instead.

The 14-spotted ladybird is a small lady beetle, belonging to the family Coccinellidae. It is sometimes referred to by the common name 14-spotted ladybird beetle, or simply P-14.
