Endemic to Colombia. Joins mixed flocks. I'm unsure about the sex, as the male and female look similar.

    1. This one was alone, although they are described as normally occurring in groups, big groups even. Could be that the group was close though, some very steep canopy here. Posted 6 years ago

The red-bellied grackle is a species of bird in the family Icteridae. Its genus, ''Hypopyrrhus'', is monotypic.

One of the grackles, it is endemic to Colombia where its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist montane forests. The species is threatened by habitat destruction and the International Union for Conservation of Nature considers it to be a "vulnerable species".
