I love these tiny snakes! In this shot, I was holding it between my fingers, trying to get a shot of its face...
Small, tan snake with two rows of dark brown spots down its back. This snake was approximately 10-12 cm long.
Habitat: Spotted along the bank of a river in a deciduous forest.

"Storeria dekayi", commonly known as De Kay's brown snake, De Kay's snake, and simply the brown snake, is a small non-venomous species of snake in the family Colubridae. The species is native to North America and Central America.
