Eremurus spectabilis you can see the bee approaching a flower that just withered... that&#039;s because this plant wants only bees to pollinate it. so the open flowers are just flags. only after the petals wither, the nectar and pollen develop. smart bees learn that and pollinate it. other insects are not smart enough to figure this out, so they visit the open empty flower, and then leave it. <br />
