Trichoderma strictipile
Tiny greenish yellow blobs that were ~1-2 mm each. The fruiting bodies were powdery, asymmetric, and globose. The kind of resembled moldy tapioca.
Habitat: Growing on rotten wood in a mixed forest dominated by pine, hemlock, oak, and birch.
*There are other species of Trichoderma that have green spores, but I'm basing the ID on the fact that I found T. stricipile in this exact location a month earlier than this spotting.
Similar species: Hypocreales
