
Crested oropendola, Putumayo, Colombia
Guides totally ignore this bird, as if it is uninteresting. Probably because it is so common. I still think it is an awesome bird, and it's not common to me. And even if it was, I think it's beautiful, as well as a very entertaining bird to see. They're highly intelligent.

The crested oropendola also known as the Suriname crested oropendola is a New World tropical icterid bird. It is a resident breeder in lowland South America east of the Andes, from Panama and Colombia south to northern Argentina, as well as on Trinidad and Tobago.
