Carolina Anole (Anolis carolinensis) Basking on a fallen oak tree at a forest edge. It was rather cold out, but this guy wanted to soak up some of the warm sun. It was quite curious what exactly I was up to.<br />

Carolina anoles have the ability to change between two primary shades, green and gray-brown. Skin color may change in response to ambient temperature, sexual arousal, or environmental stress.<br />
