
Lactarius subpurpureus
Mostly flat cap with a small central depression, zones of pink, and an inrolled margin. Nearly distant, pinkish red gills that leak red milk. The stem was colored like the cap, but more pale.
Habitat: Growing on the ground in a coniferous forest.
