
Corrugated-cap Milky - Lactifluus corrugis
Tiny Lactarius with a reddish brown cap and pinkish brown stipe. It leaked latex from the cap, stipe, and gills. The latex ranged in color from clear to red. The stipe bruised easily when handled.
Habitat: Growing on the ground in a wooded, mostly deciduous backyard habitat.

''Lactifluus corrugis'' , commonly known as the corrugated-cap milky, is a species of fungus in the family Russulaceae. It was first described by American mycologist Charles Horton Peck in 1880.
