Male Vervet monkeys have bright blue testicles and so are known in South Africa as the 'Blue Ball Monkey', they are also known as the 'Green' monkey as they have a slight green tinge to their fur. Males display their blue testicles as a sign of aggression and dominance.. The bluer they are, the more dominant they are. The blue is also a sign of health, if the testicles are not blue, then they are sick! Posted 12 years ago

The vervet monkey, or simply vervet, is an Old World monkey of the family Cercopithecidae native to Africa. The term "vervet" is also used to refer to all the members of the genus "Chlorocebus". The five distinct subspecies can be found mostly throughout Southern Africa, as well as some of the eastern countries.
