Northern wild senna is quite rare. It was once widespread in New England, but has been reduced to 6 of the 95 documented populations.
Habitat: Spotted along the edge of a river flood plain. It no longer grows in this location.
Depending on the source, it is listed as a species of special concern or threatened in Connecticut.
