
Salvia microstegia
Salvia microstegia is a mountainous perennial. It has silvery felted large leaves. The felt decrease water loss form the leaves. The branched inflorescence it spectacular. The species grows in the sub-alpine zone of the arid mountains of the east Mediterranean.
''Salvia microstegia'' is a herbaceous perennial plant that is native to Israel, growing on Mt. Hermon. The plant has white or pale violet flowers, blooming from June–September.
