        1. I bet you have seen them! :) They aren't very conspicuous.

          Some less soggy, more mature specimens in this formation:
          Little Nest Polypore (Trametes conchifer) Habitat: Growing gregariously on a fallen branch at the edge of a pine forest/wetland habitat in Floyd County, Georgia, US.<br />

Fertile surface: Cream in color with angular pores (of varying depths)<br />

Pileus: white to gray, semicircular with radial wrinkles and concentric zones of color.<br />

Trametes conchifer, the little nest polypore, is a fungus in the Polyporaceae resembling a bird's nest fungus, yet without the eggs. It is found in North America.
