  1. Absolutely stunning, Anne! Posted one year ago
  2. Thank you Lisa, it's really a wonder when he opens his wings, what this butterfly does not do so often ... Posted one year ago
    1. Oh really!? That is surprising for a Nymphalid! Do the undersides of the wings have a nice camouflage? Posted one year ago
      1. I added it to the description, it is much more discreet if we know that he lives in bushes and trees. Posted one year ago
  3. Beautiful - how did you get it to perch on your finger? Posted one year ago
    1. Thanks Barry, I found this butterfly in the morning in my open tunnel greenhouse. To prevent the wings from being damaged, I took it on my finger to pull it out. The males of this species seek mineral salts and it seems that there are some in human sweat. They therefore accept quite easily to climb on the finger but in addition they stay gladly a little while. Posted one year ago
  4. What a stunning butterfly! Posted one year ago
