Tricholoma odorum
This mushroom definitely had an interestingly shaped cap, so much so that I've nicknamed it the "buttshroom".
It was pale yellow overall, with pale yellow gills with frequent short gills. The stipe had some brownish streaks and yellow basal mycelium.
Habitat: Growing on the ground in a mixed forest (mostly oak, eastern hemlock, and birch).

"Tricholoma odorum" is a mushroom of the agaric genus "Tricholoma". It was formally described in 1898 by American mycologist Charles Horton Peck.
