Funnel Weaver - Wadotes hybridus

This spider was about 2 cm long. It's abdomen was black, fuzzy, and somewhat flat. The cephalothorax was mostly black, and the legs were reddish brown.

Habitat: Spotted under a rotting log in a mixed forest.

  1. I would be inclined to go for the Mouse spider Scotophaeus blackwalli, but then I am not sure the abdomen is the right shape??
