  1. One of my favorites among the 160 bird species I saw on my 3 day layover in Panama. I have a soft spot for antbirds (Ferdy, I know you do too!), and I saw half a dozen other species but this was surely my favorite.
I won't upload anything else from Panama for a long time (lots of backlog from previous trips), but I picked this one to wish you all a Happy New Year, full of wonderful encounters with wildlife!!

    1. Thanks and Happy New Year to you toto. PS - I love antbirds too, so much variety on a common theme! Posted 6 years ago
      1. Right!? It's really an amazing family, so diverse compared to woodpeckers or doves for example, which have comparable numbers of species. Furnarids come to mind as similarly variable, but I just find them less exciting... Posted 6 years ago
    2. Yes, I do love them too! Thank you for this wonderful addition and all the best wishes for the new year! Posted 6 years ago
