  2. I would have thought this is a Robust Ghostpipefish, so difficult to tell them apart, and its also not listed in the Reef Fish ID - Tropical Pacific Fishes. Interesting :) Posted 6 years ago
    1. I placed it under this species because I see a difference in the connection body to tail fin> It is longer and thinner as in the armored. However it is still a tentative ID. If I find evidence of otherwise I will change it. Posted 6 years ago, modified 6 years ago

The long-tailed ghost pipefish or armored ghost pipefish(Solenostomus armatus) is a ghost pipefish in the family Solenostomidae.[2] The species name comes from the Greek armatura, referring to this fish's armor of dermal plates.[3] Solenostomus leptosoma is now considered a synonym of S. armatus, the valid species identification.
