    1. We both have been stung a few times. Not horribly bad although it initially is worse than a bee sting more like a hornet. The pain turns to numbing which can last several hours to a couple of days. I have heard of people that are not allergic having numbing sensation that lasted several weeks. Posted 6 years ago
      1. Interesting! I think that many people don't realize that although scorpion stings are very painful, most don't require medical attention. I wonder how a person would know which stings are severe enough to be life threatening? I'm guessing the symptoms would be more severe in that instance? Posted 6 years ago

The Arizona bark scorpion is a small light brown scorpion common to the Sonoran Desert in the southwestern United States and northwestern Mexico. An adult male can reach 8 cm in length, while a female is slightly smaller, with a maximum length of 7 cm.
