Late Fall Oysters - Sarcomyxa serotina
Dry, tan-green caps with pale yellow gills and short, stub-like stems. The caps ranged in size from 3-6 cm wide, and they were fan-shaped with incurved margins. The gills were attached and looked like they were descending the stem. There were 4 of these mushrooms growing fused together.

"Sarcomyxa serotina", commonly known as the late oyster, is a species of fungus in the family Mycenaceae. Fruit bodies grow as overlapping fan- or oyster-shaped caps on the wood of both coniferous and deciduous trees.
