Utricularia jameisoniana - 2 - flower closeup, La Isla Escondida, Colombia
Second observation during our trip of this carnivorous plant. They are usually found at canopy level yet in this case we found it on the floor on a fallen tree branch. Freshly fallen branches are a really good way to find these plants as well as some other rare ones, such as miniature orchids, that are normally out of reach. They have to be freshly fallen because any such plant will not survive long once its host branch has fallen.
