  1. Wow, it's like they're cheering for you, and they should, great post! Posted 4 months ago
    1. Ferdy, they are so exciting to see here! :) They are endangered in Florida (and imperiled here), so I welcome these wonderful (and very entertaining) flocks! They really seem to love to fly over the ridges near our camper! Posted 4 months ago
    2. Another cool thing! There have been so many migrating that they show up as rain on the weather radar! https://scontent.fatl1-1.fna.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/48380511_211876719730303_6693023691145478144_n.jpg?_nc_cat=102&_nc_ht=scontent.fatl1-1.fna&oh=f5a666732a7b6aa698a8b98a0b423328&oe=5C8B0CE6 Posted 3 months ago

The Sandhill Crane is a large crane of North America and extreme northeastern Siberia. The common name of this bird references habitat like that at the Platte River, on the edge of Nebraska's Sandhills in the American Midwest. This is the most important stopover area for the Lesser Sandhill Crane , with up to 450,000 of these birds migrating through annually.
