    1. Thanks Ferdy, shot the series 2 or 3 years ago and wasn't happy with the results I suppose - full series of "zooming disease" :o( but as I also upload far worse, older images just to document some species these should do equally well ... so hey ...
      Also, it always takes me some time to find the courage to sit down and sift through longer series ... pfffff .... :o)

Cionus tuberculosus is one of the small species of weevils in the tribe Cionini that have free living larvae on the plant's surface which are covered in slime for protection and create little cocoons of larval secretion.
