
Eastern Comma - Polygonia comma
Small butterfly with seasonally variable coloration. The upperside of the forewings is brownish-orange with dark spots, while the upperside of the hindwings is much darker. The underside of the wings are mottled brown with a white comma in the middle of the hindwings. It has amazing camouflage when its wings are closed.
Habitat: Hiding among the sycamore leaves! Can you see it??
