  1. Always have a soft spot for these guys ever since my first pet goose when I was a youngster. Gosi was a Greylag gander who had this trick of jumping up and grabbing the branches of the apple trees in the orchard with his beak. He would then hang there and shake himself until apples fell off the tree whereupon the rest of the gaggle would all dive on them.
    This one looks like a female. Stomping her way across the frosty ground. Lovely shot.

    1. No, I was sitting on my knees in a frozen ditch.
      What you see is the result of the 300mm in combination with the low viewpoint.
