Dicyphus errans is one of the small, slender plant bugs (Miridae) in the tribe Dicyphini. Unlike many of its congeners this species is not particularly bound to a limited selection of plants for its zoophytophagous development, other than that it also prefers hairy plants. Among others it is recorded from Urtica, Stachys, Galeopsis, Gerranium and Verbascum.
