Autumn Sneezeweed - Helenium autumnale
Despite its common name, sneezeweed does not commonly cause allergic reactions. Rather, it gets the name "sneezeweed" because native americans used a dried powder made from the plant as snuff to induce sneezing in order to relieve congestion.
Habitat: Growing in a wetland area.

"Helenium autumnale" is a flowering plant native to North America. Common names include common sneezeweed and large-flowered sneezeweed.
Similar species: Asterales
