Snow Fungus (Tremella fuciformis)
Growing on a hardwood branch in a dense mixed forest.
I'm pretty sure this ID is right. This specimen has lost some of the strong curvature of its lobes, but I can still see remnants at the edges.
Tremella fuciformis has a relationship with Hypoxylon fungi, but it is unknown whether it is a symbiotic or parasitic relationship.

''Tremella fuciformis'' is a species of fungus; it produces white, frond-like, gelatinous basidiocarps . It is widespread, especially in the tropics, where it can be found on the dead branches of broadleaf trees. ''Tremella fuciformis'' is commonly known as snow fungus, snow ear, silver ear fungus, and white jelly mushroom.
