    Perhaps Subfamily Erebinae?

    This has some similarities to Letis sp., but I'm not finding any matches so far...

    2. Thanks! Letis looks like the right direction to search in. I see many species in that genus have purple in it, this one doesn't, which possible excludes some. This one...

      is Letis alauda, closest one I've found so far. Note the eye and half-eye at the top of the wings matching. Still far from sure, could be many more close matches in the genus.
