Bitter Tooth Fungus - Sarcodon scabrosus

The caps were 5 – 10 cm wide with a central depression. They were dry with scales and were reddish brown in color. The spines were tan and decurrent. The stipe was brown with a pale greenish blue base.

Habitat: Growing on the ground under oak.
