
Honey Waxcap - Hygrocybe reidii
The cap had scalloped edges that were yellow, while the rest of the cap was orange except for the depressed center, which was darker orange/red. The gills were yellow with frequent short gills. The stem was also yellow.
Habitat: Growing on the ground in a deciduous forest.

"Hygrocybe reidii", commonly known as the honey waxcap, is a mushroom of the waxcap genus "Hygrocybe". It is found in Europe, and reported from eastern North America, although it is uncertain whether the North American population represents the same species.
