a tiny beauty amongst some seedlings
A random selection of mixed alpine seedlings given to me to ‘grow on’ produced this little beauty after a two year wait. Not sure if it’s an autumn crocus. Colchicum autamnale ‘alba’ ? Also in the photo is a cyclamen seedling which is not quite large enough to flower. Maybe next year!

''Colchicum autumnale'', commonly known as autumn crocus, meadow saffron or naked lady, is a flower that resembles the true crocuses, but blooms in autumn. The name "naked lady" comes from the fact that the flowers emerge from the ground long after the leaves have died back.
