  1. Just an observation - isn't it amazing how spiders can weave such a perfect web with evenly spaced threads of silk? This web is interesting because some sections are so perfect, while others are so messy. Posted 6 years ago
    1. It's definitely amazing considering how simple-minded orb-weavers are, they usually end up in a place by chance (wind) and then just keep rebuilding the same web in the same place. It's like it has a really good built-in program.

      As for parts of the web being messy, I think they're in constant repair here due to very frequent rain and busy insect traffic :)
