Planuncus tingitanus s.l. female carrying ootheca
After various records without real proof (based on images being sent in) and a few animals captured that were certainly carried to the Netherlands from holiday travels to southern Europe, this is the first population where we have actual proof of this advenitive species settling an reproducing in the Netherlands.
Specimen kindly sent to me from Gorinchem by Francien Walraven on waarneming.nl (thanks!)
Detail of ootheca here:

"Planuncus tingitanus s.l." is a working title for any of the species belonging to the "Planuncus tingitanus" species group, of the cockroach genus "Planuncus". As the exact status of some the species in this group can not be determined without more research, the whole species complex is referred to by the name of the oldest species in the group sensu lato.
