Retiboletus griseus Convex cap that was grayish blackish brown with a pinkish tint. Stipe was reticulate and cream-colored with some yellow and orange bruising. Pores were small and cream-colored. <br />

Retiboletus griseus

Convex cap that was grayish blackish brown with a pinkish tint. Stipe was reticulate and cream-colored with some yellow and orange bruising. Pores were small and cream-colored.

Habitat: Growing alone, on the ground, in a mixed forest – but, in an area with mostly oak.

''Retiboletus griseus'', commonly known as the gray bolete, is a species of bolete fungus in the family Boletaceae. The species was first described scientifically in 1878 by American botanist Charles Christopher Frost. It was transferred to ''Retiboletus'' in 2002.
