  1. So cool! The endless diversity of ocean life is astounding. I think that a great deterrent to plastic pollution would be to expose people to the beauty and diversity of sea life. Not just to show pictures of fish tangled in plastic. But, maybe that's overly idealistic and simple. Shock value is probably more effective for many. Posted 6 years ago
    1. I wish this would help! The problem is also that in these lands people lack the proper resources and mindset to prevent this massive plastic disposal. It is a very difficult problem to solve. It is already a great step that in other lands the problem is being deserved attention and that some baby steps are being made towards a better future without plastics but I do not see this being changed worldwide in a short term, unfortunately :-( Posted 6 years ago

Max length adult: 20 cm. Dorsal spines (total): 9; Dorsal soft rays (total): 11; Anal spines: 3; Anal soft rays: 11. The initial phase is olivaceous to brownish yellow dorsally, white ventrally, with a black zigzag stripe running from eye to upper caudal peduncle (continuing anteriorly as a yellow stripe from the eye to the snout).
