Size: 10 inches (25 cm)
The adult of this species has a bluish back and white belly with a creamy yellow midlateral stripe and yellowish streak on back. The juvenile has a striped pattern in blue and yellow.
Lives solitary or pairs in reef areas, 5 - 20 m depth.
Range: Central Pacific Ocean: Samoa and Tonga.
Natural Environment: Inhabits rubble bottom areas on coral reefs and usually found at depths between 15 - 100 feet (5 - 30 m) where it feeds upon small fishes and benthic.. more
