  1. These birds are intelligent and have great personalities. They're very common in Eastern Australia and can be seen flying around at high speed and chattering away in trees while they feed. This guy was shot in a Bottle-brush tree situated in a suburban street in North Wollongong. Posted 12 years ago, modified 12 years ago

The rainbow lorikeet is a species of parrot found in Australia. It is common along the eastern seaboard, from northern Queensland to South Australia. Its habitat is rainforest, coastal bush and woodland areas. Several taxa traditionally listed as subspecies of the rainbow lorikeet are now treated as separate species.
