This bolete had a pink cap, a yellow stem base, and pink scabers on the surface of its stem. Pores were white and did not bruise.<br />

Yellowfoot Bolete - Harrya chromapes

One of my favorites! You can't go wrong with yellow "feet"!

This bolete had a pink cap, a yellow stem base, and pink scabers on the surface of its stem. Pores were white and did not bruise.

Habitat: Mixed, but mostly deciduous forest.

"Harrya chromapes", commonly known as the yellowfoot bolete, is species of bolete fungus in the family Boletaceae. The bolete is found in eastern North America, Costa Rica, and eastern Asia, where it grows on the ground, in a mycorrhizal association with deciduous and coniferous trees.
