  1. Love these! They actually look very close in appearance to some Tricholoma I found in Alabama last year (except mine were less yellow and more gray). Posted 6 years ago
    1. Hmm. Maybe it's the same and there is just variation. Or, a similar species? Posted 6 years ago
  2. Did they have an odor? I always check that first with Tricholoma! Posted 6 years ago
    1. Yes, they did! I almost always forget to add the odor to the description, lol. It had a mealy smell. Posted 6 years ago
      1. That is farinaceous, right? Posted 6 years ago
        1. Yep. At least, I think they are the same. Posted 6 years ago
      2. And, the smell was not faint. It was strong. Posted 6 years ago
        1. Awesome (in a weird way)! Posted 6 years ago
          1. I love finding things that smell in nature. The other day, I was in the woods next to a bog and I smelled the best, sweet, almondish, cherry-ish smell. I sniffed all the plants, etc. in the area and couldn't locate it. But, it was awesome. Posted 6 years ago
            1. Have you smelled a strong vinegar smell around oaks (during spring and summer) before? Jason and I have always wondered what it is! Posted 6 years ago
              1. Yes! It's acetic acid from the wood. Posted 6 years ago
