One of Australia's many native cockroaches which occurs along the East Australian states -Queensland, New south whales and Victoria. It is a non pest species and can be found under eucalyptus tree bark but also sometimes sunning itselfs early mornings on some leaves

Methana marginalis (Saussure, 1864) or the "Common Methana" is a cockroach in the family Blattidae native to the Australian east coast. It is a non-pest species living outside and often found around Eucalyptus trees.
