Black gum leafhopper- Eurymela distinta As the name suggests this hopper is found on Eucalyptus trees. This one however was found on a callistemon tree, possibly only as it is still very cool and early in spring and the hopper only stopped temporarily . Note the white facial shields on this species. Eurymela distincta is a species of leafhopper. It was described by Signoret in 1850.
