    1. Not usual for me to say this, but these series surely are one my favorites on odonata. is spot on, at low speed, considering the gear used, 12mm extension on a 80-200mm 4.5, handheld, no digital stabilization... and an immature dragonfly perching from one side to another! Indulge me: https://www.behance.net/gallery/68019919/The-dragon-stands Thanks so much for your time my friend, cheers*

''Orthetrum brunneum'', the Southern Skimmer, is a species of 'skimmers' belonging to the family Libellulidae. This 'skimmer' is present in most of Europe.

The adults grow up to 40–45 millimetres long. Their dimensions on average are larger than in ''Orthetrum coerulescens''. They can be encountered from mid June through late August in the immediate vicinity of quiet rivers or close to stagnant and shallow waters, laying on a well sunny ground. Their life cycle lasts two or three years.
