Speckled bush-cricket (Leptophyes punctatissima) This little chap thought it would hitch a ride on the car, it stayed there for ages allowing me to photograph it. The brown stripe down the dorsal surface is much more pronounced than in the female, making this an obvious male. The speckled bush-cricket is a flightless species of bush-cricket belonging to the family Tettigoniidae. The species was originally described as "Locusta punctatissima" in 1792.
