  1. It's crystal clear: nice! (and slightly scary) Posted 12 years ago
    1. mmm they don't seem to look any less threatening the closer you get :) Posted 12 years ago
      1. If you want to get really close, you should try HD mode. Have you discovered that feature yet? If not, try some of these photos:

Open a photo, click again on the photo to open it in fullscreen. Next, in the top menu click "HD". You may have to wait a while for it to load. Once loaded, you can use your mousewheel to zoom into ridiculous detail!

This works on any photo, but its best on razor sharp photos that are uploaded in their original high resolution.

        Enjoy.

        1. Yes had a look at that feature, when it is lit white I assumed the feature was in operation but could not see any difference on the photo? Posted 12 years ago
          1. Ah tried some of the better photos you gave me in the link, and with a little patience can now see the difference, thanks Posted 12 years ago
          2. As you found out yourself already, indeed it will not make a difference for photos uploaded in a low to medium resolution. Posted 12 years ago

The spider species "Araneus diadematus" is commonly called the European garden spider, diadem spider, orangie, cross spider and crowned orb weaver. It is sometimes called the pumpkin spider, although this name is also used for a different species, "Araneus marmoreus". It is an orb-weaver spider found in Europe and North America.
