  1. I was going to create the Russula rubra species ID, but then realized that it is a synonym for Russula emetica. So, I've identified it as Russula emetica, okay? Posted 6 years ago
    1. No, they are different species, Christine. You can differ them in habitat, tone of the red cap and the color of the gills/spores. R. rubra has more yellowish gills. R. emetica's are clean white.
