  1. Nice close up! It seems to be on top of a much bigger snail? Posted 6 years ago

A Young Land Snail Explores the Shell of Its Marine Relative. The little (11mm in diameter) Pacific Sideband land snail is travelling on the shell of a Lewis’ moonsnail which is obviously much larger. There are a few more moonsnail shells in the photo. 2. What a funny scene and much respect for the excellent dept of field on this one! Posted 6 years ago
    1. Thank you. The depth of field comes from the ability to use a small f stop (f16) because of the flash. I tried focus stacking but even this fellow was moving too fast for that! Posted 6 years ago
