
Marbled Orb-weaver - Araneus marmoreus
A highly very variable spider. Its abdomen had a pale yellow and dark brown pattern. The cephalothorax was reddish, as was its femurs. The lower parts of its legs had white and black/brown stripes.
Habitat: I spotted this beauty in a rural garden.

''Araneus marmoreus'', commonly called the marbled orb-weaver is a species of spider belonging to the family Araneidae. It has a Holarctic distribution. The web is built low down in heathland and in woodland clearings.
