  1. Hmmm - don't think so. This fly looks like it has one more segment of abdomen than a blow fly - they seem to look 'chubbier' to me... and it's eyes are separated, I think a blow fly's eyes meet in the middle of it's head (maybe only some species... though). Flies are tough - so many and tiny details separating species, but I'll see what I can find. Posted 6 years ago, modified 6 years ago
  2. I'm not great at looking at wing veins... but I think, if I am reading this properly, this family has a distinctive vein that your fly also has.

      1. I'm not sure that C. patibulatus is the correct ID. I think the genus is right, but the distribution is way off for the species. Consider Condylostylus longicornis? Posted 5 years ago
